Improve Your Lips Natural Look

lip-enhancment

If your lips appear disproportionate, lack definition, or are not as full or ‘pouty’ as you would like, then you should consider lip enhancement.

Imagine the possibilities of lips that fulfill their true potential. Many people desire full shapely, beautifully defined lips that look natural. Now you can have them! Restylane® injectable gel is now the first and only FDA-approved filler for lip enhancement. Restylane® can improve the shape and proportion of your lips to help you achieve your aesthetically pleasing ideal lip.

Lip enhancement also known as “lip injections and lip augmentation,” is trending and very popular. Improving the appearance of your lips can often improve your self confidence, especially in your most intimate relationships. Having full, plump lips is also considered a sign of good health, beauty and youth. Many women choose lip enhancement because they are born with thin lips, while others opt for it because their lips have become thin with age. Lip injections using synthetic fillers, such as Restylane®, can keep your lips plump for months at a time.

Many women are afraid to seek lip enhancement…afraid of the unnatural, overdone Hollywood lips. We have all seen them. But what people haven’t seen are all the women who have had lip enhancement and have a natural proportionate result. The key to lip enhancement is a skilled injector who understands lip aesthetics; with an eye for the subtleties of shape, contour, and enhancement – not for excessive volume. Dr. Dembny is highly experienced with lip enhancements and would love to further discuss your cosmetic goals. Call (414) 443-0033 to schedule your consultation in Wisconsin, today!

Would you be a good candidate for a lip enhancement?

Good candidates for lip enhancement want to plump thin lips to create a fuller look. If you smile and your top or bottom lip disappears, you may benefit from lip augmentation. If you are in good general health, have a positive attitude and realistic expectations, you would be a good candidate for this procedure. But you should NOT consider lip augmentation if you have:

  • Diabetes or Lupus
  • Current cold sores
  • Any scarring of your lips
  • Blood clotting problems

As with any medical procedure, you should tell your doctor of any allergies of medications that you are taking. If you smoke, this may also be a complicating factor.

Is lip enhancement painful?

Lip augmentation with dermal fillers is a very safe and common procedure. Although pain tolerance between patients varies, there are many topical, injection and infiltrative anesthetic treatments that can minimize pain. The procedure involves tiny pin-prick injections, and is usually done using a nerve blocker anesthetic, similar to a dental anesthetic, which numbs the lips to ensure that you are relaxed and comfortable before the actual procedure begins. The procedure takes less than an hour, with little to no downtime.

What are possible side effects/risks of lip enhancement?

As with any cosmetic surgery, there are risks and complications to a lip augmentation. It’s possible to have an allergic reactions, although this is uncommon. You may experience bleeding, infection or perhaps nerve damage. It’s important to discuss any concerns with your doctor prior to the procedure, and that you make your doctor aware of any existing medical conditions which may cause complications.

How long do lip enhancement results last?

We use Restylane® injectable gel, the first and only FDA-approved filler, for our lip enhancement procedures. Your results may last from six months to a year. For safety, as well as the most healthy outcome, it’s important to return for follow-up evaluations and whenever you notice any changes.
