3 Ways to Turn Back Time on Your Skin

botoxIn a perfect world, we would be able to flip over the hourglass and “Turn Back Time” just like Cher sang about— helping to diminish those fine lines and wrinkles and make you look like your more youthful self in no time. Unfortunately, without the assistance of Botox, fillers, or a surgical procedure, there is no real way to reverse the damaging toll that age can have on your skin. Before you schedule an appointment with Dr. Kenneth Dembny, consider learning a bit more about each of these options and decide which option (if any) is right for you. Read on for more information.

Botox
Unlike fillers which work by filling in the wrinkles on your face, Botox injections are designed to temporarily relax the muscles in the forehead to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on your forehead and around your eyes. Lasting an average of 3-6 months— and depending on your skin type— Botox will give you the smoother looking complexion that you desire.

Fillers
Fillers like Restylane and Juvederm are primarily used on the lower portion of your face to fill in fine lines and wrinkles, and they can even be used to plump up your lips as well. Lasting up to a year, fillers deliver results that last a bit longer than other injectables like Botox and that you will be proud to show off.

Surgical Procedures
If you are looking at getting longer lasting results than Botox and Juvederm, consider getting a surgical procedure done like a facelift or neck lift. By physically lifting the skin on your face, these types of surgical procedures will help to get rid of fine lines, wrinkles, and any sagging that you may be experiencing. Although the results from a surgical procedure like a facelift last longer, they cannot prevent your skin from aging after the surgery.

In this day and age, there are many different treatment options—  depending on your budget and the results that you want— that will give you a more youthful-looking glow. To learn more about these procedures or other procedures, contact Dr. Kenneth Dembny’s office today!
