Squats are the best exercise that you can do to tone up your behind. To do a proper squat, stand with your legs shoulder-width apart. Then with your back straight and your buttocks pushed out, bend your knees and squat down. Then slowly get back up. Repeat this process. You should feel your glutes contracting as you bend down and get back up.
Another great way to tone up your glutes and upper thighs is by doing lunges. To properly do lunges, keep your upper body straight and your lower legs back. Then, lunge one leg forward so that both legs are at a 90-degree angle. Continue walking and alternating legs. Repeat as necessary.
To help strengthen your calf muscles, stand straight with your feet together. Slowly lift both feet so that you are standing on your toes. Lower your feet back to the ground and repeat. To challenge yourself, try doing ten slow and ten fast.
Working out your lower body doesn’t mean that you have to hit the gym every day. In fact, by doing the workouts listed above from the comforts of your home, you can tone up in no time. To learn more about how you can tone up your lower body, contact Dr. Kenneth Dembny today!
