Liposuction Patient # 2
46 year old woman, 5’1” tall, weight 138 pounds with history of a single pregnancy and cesarean section who was interested in improving the appearance of her abdomen, flanks, hips, and thighs. Exam demonstrated abdominal lipodystrophy with skin laxity and abdominal wall musculofascial laxity; lipodystrophy of the flank and upper hip was also present. Three month post-operative photographs show the results of power-assisted ‘superwet’ technique liposuction. Approximately 575cc of fat was aspirated from the abdomen, 225cc of fat was aspirated from each hip area, and 125cc of fat was aspirated from each outer thigh and inner thigh. Despite moderate skin laxity in the lower abdomen, she experienced reasonable tightening and re-contouring of the skin in this area.
